Finishing her UKC Championship on Oct. 29th 2004, we are proud of our girl. U CH Twin Maples Brown Sugar Sienna CGC is smart and serious, queen of the castle. Sienna is very well behaved, has her father’s temperament. She loves to snuggle and hug. Kayla and Sienna have a special bond, showing together in the junior showmanship program where Sienna is responsive to Kayla’s command, just a doll of a dog. UPDATE: Sienna earned her CGC on August 27th 2005.

ADOPTED Oct. 06, yes we miss this girl dearly, very hard to say good bye. We said “only if a top notch home comes along will we let Sienna go”. She has just that, and although we will always have a huge place in our hearts for Sienna, time will make the good bye easier as will news of her new adventures. We love you Sienna!

Answering an ad in the Roanoke Times, against my husbands wishes, I found him chained to a shed with a bucket of ice for water. Weighing 72 pounds and desperate for a way out, I knew he was coming home with me. Mike, sick in bed, was in no position to argue. We’ll find him a home I promised. Now 104 pounds, Bogey has captured our hearts and become a permanent member of our family. Loved by all our dogs and fosters that come through, we are happy to share our home with such a magnificent beast.

Maddy is my loyal companion and running partner. She has never met an enemy and is a joy to be around. She “tucks” me in every night with a wet nose before settling down on her pillow for the evening. Completely obedient, she has earned the privilege of being off lead on our regular runs. Maddy is a wonderful girl, loved by all that meet her. Sadly on 9/18/07 we lost our sweet Maddy to Hemangiosarcomas. Wonderful memories of our time together will always be with me. This was truly a one of a kind girl and is deeply missed here.

Our oldest rescue, Sam has been with us since July 4, 1993. Hiking on a rainy fourth, we stopped for ice cream in Floyd. Sam was chasing passing cars on 220. We brought him home and cleaned his tick covered body. Sam has seen many fosters come and go and is waiting for the day when again he will be our only dog.

Tia is an imp through and through. Always the life of the party, quite the entertainer. She loves to snuggle up on your lap and can be counted on for an ear nibbling. A gun dog she is not, loud noises send her running to be by your side. She loves to tuck her tail and can run circles around her fellow canines. Loyal, she can be found waiting outside the shower and loves to stick close. She, like her mom, is very obedient with a strong will to please. What a personailty! Tia has been adopted, Dec. 2005, by a wonderful family, the Garden’s. We miss Tia dearly but always smile when we hear of her new adventures and what a huge part of the Garden’s family she has become.
